Welcome to our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):

  • We take care of the cleaning after each return.
    We simply ask that you return the gear in good condition and used normally, just as it was provided to you.

    For your comfort and hygiene, sleeping bags and sheets are professionally cleaned by Nittedal Vask og Renseri AS after every rental.

  • You can camp almost anywhere in Norway thanks to the Right to Roam (Allemannsretten).

    This law allows everyone to camp on uncultivated land, as long as you respect nature, local rules, and leave no trace.

  • We provide top-quality outdoor gear, including camping equipment, inflatable kayaks, and paddleboards, all professionally cleaned, inspected, and ready to use.

    Our service lets you explore Norway with comfort, safety, and total freedom, without the hassle of buying.

  • No deposit is required, but a copy of a valid ID (passport, driver’s license, or national ID) will be taken before pickup.

    You are responsible for all equipment during your rental period.

  • Renting gear is simple and fully online.

    You can pick up your gear at our store or select delivery during checkout for added convenience.

  • Yes. If you’re unable to pick up your gear during our regular opening hours, simply contact us in advance.

    We’ll do our best to arrange an alternative pickup time, depending on availability.

  • Delivery is available only within Oslo City and Oslo Gardermoen Airport.

    If you’re traveling from outside these areas, please contact us, we may be able to suggest alternative pickup options.

  • If the equipment is damaged or lost, a replacement fee will apply.

    To keep things fair, we charge 50% of the item’s retail value as the replacement fee. 

    Minor wear and tear from normal outdoor use is accepted, no additional fees will be applied for typical use.

  • Nordic Gear Rentals – Terms & Conditions

    1. Booking & Payment

    Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.

    2. Cancellations & Refunds

    You may cancel your booking at any time.

    • 80% refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before the rental start time.
    • 30% refund if cancelled less than 24 hours before the rental start time.

    The retained amount covers transaction fees, preparation, and handling costs.

    3. Equipment Responsibility

    You are responsible for all rented equipment during the rental period.

    • In case of damage or loss, a fee of 50% of the item’s retail value may apply.
    • Normal wear and tear from standard outdoor use is accepted.

    4. Pickup, Delays & Return

    Equipment must be picked up and returned at the agreed date and time stated in your booking confirmation.

    • In case of late pickup, the rental period will not be extended, and no refund will be issued for days lost due to travel delays, including flight delays or cancellations.
    • Unused rental days caused by late arrival are non-refundable.

    5. Cleanliness & Proper Use

    All equipment is professionally cleaned and inspected before each rental.
    Please treat the gear with care and return it in clean and proper condition.

    6. Liability & Safety

    Nordic Gear Rentals is not liable for accidents, injuries, losses, or weather-related conditions during the rental period.
    Customers are responsible for using the equipment safely and complying with local laws and safety regulations.
